Helen Brown

Helen Brown, age 77, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Sunday, April 23^rd, at her home. Per her wishes, no formal services will be held. Arrangements are with Carlin Family Funeral Service of Fosston and messages of condolence may be shared at www.carlinfuneral.com.

Helen Louise (Davis) Brown was born on September 1, 1945, in Yazoo City, Mississippi to parents Walter and Mary (Miesenholder) Davis. She lived in Yazoo City before her family moved to Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated from Whitehaven High School in Memphis.

Following high school, she attended school for hairdressing and then worked as a hairdresser for several years. She then worked for Diesel Recon in Memphis until her retirement. In 1997, she moved to Fosston to be close to family.

Helen loved gardening and canning and she always had plenty of good advice for her kids and grandkids. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her son, Kris Brown of Fosston; daughter, Heather Cavalier of Fertile, MN; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Davis, George Davis and Doug Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles “Ray” Davis; grandson, Doug Cavalier; and son-in-law, Victor Cavalier.
