Harry Sandeen, age 64, of rural McIntosh, MN, passed away on Thursday, October 31st, at Essentia Health Hospital in Fosston. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7th, at the Carlin Funeral Home in Fosston with the Rev. Gordon Syverson officiating. Interment will be in Asphult Cemetery in Hill River Township at a later date. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Messages of condolence may be sent at www.carlinfuneral.com. Harold Dean Sandeen was born on August 28, 1955 in Crookston, Minnesota to parents Lowell and Jean (Halvorson) Sandeen. He grew up in Hill River Township and graduated from McIntosh High School. As a young man, Harry worked on ships near the Louisiana coast and was able to travel throughout the world for several years. He returned to his home area and worked as a welder at Erskine Manufacturing and then, most recently, at Peatland Reds north of Trail, Minnesota. Harry retired because of ongoing health issues and has continued to live at home in Hill River Township. Survivors include one uncle and several cousins.He was preceded in death by his father, Lowell, in December of 1996, his mother, Jean, in January of 2012; his brother, Howard; and sister, Connie McLinn.
