Gladys Odegaard, age 91, of Clearbrook, MN, passed away on Sunday (February 8th) at the Good Samaritan Center in Clearbrook. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday (February 14th) at Elim Lutheran Brethren Church in Clearbrook with the Rev. Tom Seaver officiating. Interment will be in Elim Cemetery, rural Clearbrook. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 6:45 p.m. prayer service on Friday (February 13th) and for one hour prior to the service on Saturday, all at Elim Lutheran Brethren Church. During her first year the family moved to rural Fosston where they settled and made their home. On February 4, 1941, Gladys married Raymond A. Odegaard and they had six children. Gladys was a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and known fondly as an excellent cook and baker. She possessed the warm gift of hospitality and made their home a welcome place for many. Most memorably, Gladys loved the Lord and it was evident to all those around her.Gladys passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at the Good Samaritan Center in Clearbrook at the age of 91 years.Gladys is survived by children: Roger (Elaine) Odegaard of Spearman, TX, David (Brenda) Odegaard of Minneapolis, MN, Ione (John) Ingebretson of Willmar, MN, Jana (Alan) Challberg of South St. Paul, MN, Lois Pearson of Faribault, MN, Beverly (Bradley) Nielsen of Maple Grove, MN, four grandsons, five granddaughters, and eight great-grandchildren, sister: Ila Torgerson of Fosston, MN, three sisters-in-law and several nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by husband, son-in-law, infant granddaughter, three brothers, and parents.Pallbearers will be Greg Odegaard, Jason Ingebretson, Ross Pearson, Jeff Challberg, Nate Luce and Spencer Luce.
