Georgie Bergquist, age 70, of Lengby, MN, passed away on Monday (November 12th) at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. No public services will be held. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston assisted the family with arrangements. Sympathy messages may be sent at www.carlinhoialmen.com.Georgie Veryle Brewer was born on February 3, 1937 in Hotchkiss, Colorado to parents George and Gertrude (Noll) Brewer. She lived with her family in various States while finding work picking fruit. Georgie was married to Glen Bergquist in Idaho. They began raising their family in Washington. Georgie worked various jobs in the area where they lived. They moved to Minnesota in 1971, eventually settling in Lengby in 1977 where they began a dairy farm. Georgie also worked as an aide at the Johnson Rest Home in Fosston. They sold the farm in 1993 and she continued her employment at Johnson�s until its closing. Georgie remained a home health aide until her death.Georgie loved her job as a home health aide. She loved her hobbies of gardening, collecting movies and taking care of animals. She was the nicest mom this family could hope to have. Our tears run free as her spirit runs free.Survivors include her five children, Vernon Bergquist of St. Paul, MN, Carol (Steven) Sogla of Trail, MN, Deanna Bergquist of Louisville, KY, Glen, Jr. (Tammy) Bergquist of Blackduck, MN, and Kathy Bergquist of Sioux Falls, SD; two grandsons, Keith Sogla and Cody Bergquist; one granddaughter, Jessica Bergquist; and two great grandsons, Steven Sogla and Preston Gould.Also surviving are three sisters, Sandy (Leroy) Viles of Lyons, NE, Aldene (Duane) Brown of Pilot Rock, OR and Frances (Raymond) Gibson of Barb, NM; one brother, Cecil Brewer of Maybell, CO; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; her parents; two sisters and one brother.
