Freda Dahl

Freda Dahl, age 96, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Monday (December 13th) at Essentia Health Hospital in Fosston. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday (December 20th) at the Cornerstone Residence, 115 East 1st Street, in Fosston with the Rev. John Dalen officiating. Interment will be in Ringsacker Cemetery, Pelican Rapids, MN at a later date. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston is in charge of the arrangements and messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.com.Freda Nilsena Mickelson was born on January 14, 1914 in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota to parents Elmer and Bertina Mickelson. She grew up in Pelican Rapids with her 12 brothers and sisters. She attended school until age 17 in Pelican Rapids. Freda married John Milton Dahl on January 17, 1932. They had two children, Ardis and Jack. Freda loved bowling, fishing, hunting, gardening and singing. Her greatest joy was spending time laughing and joking with family. Survivors include her children, Ardi Dahl of Fosston, MN, and Jack Dahl of Livermore, CA; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her brothers and sisters.Freda will be missed by family and many friends.
