Frances Abele, age 91, of Fosston, MN passed away on Tuesday, June 28th at First Care Living Center in Fosston. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 2nd at 2:30 PM at First English Lutheran Church in Fosston with Rev. Dean Bell officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston, and there will also be reviewal for one hour before the funeral at the church. Schultz was born on December 25, 1919 in rural Fosston, MN to Edward and Minnie (Polley) Schultz. She grew up and attended rural school near Fosston.She was united in marriage to Thomas "Dutch" Abele on September 28, 1940. After their marriage, they lived and raised their family in Fosston. Frances worked at the Gambles Store and Northside Grocery in Fosston, and she catered locally and sewed as well. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, flowers, and she loved having company and being around people. She was a faithful, active member of First English Lutheran Church in Fosston. Dutch and Frances celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in 2010.On Tuesday, June 28, 2011 Frances M. Abele passed away at First Care Living Center in Fosston at the age of 91 years.Survivors include one daughter, Carol Abele of Fosston; one son, Lowell Abele of Hugo, MN; daughter-in-law, Marie Abele of Minneapolis, MN; grandsons, David (Desire`) Abele of Minneapolis, and Mikel Abele of Minneapolis; granddaughter, Shelly (Rob) Heimback and their daughters, Ava and Karly of Hugo, MN; and two brothers, Bernie (Shirley) Schultz of Fosston, and Robert (Norma) Schultz of Richey, MT.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 70 years, Thomas "Dutch" Abele; one son, Harris Abele; one sister, Evelyn Abele; and seven brothers, Elmer, Herbert, Lloyd, Melvin, Delmer, Clarence, and Paul Schultz.
