Esther Larson, age 93, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Tuesday (January 8th) at First Care Hospital in Fosston. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday (January 15th) at the United Methodist Church in Fosston with the Rev. Lois Ball officiating. Interment will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery, rural McIntosh. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston.Esther Pauline Larson was born on October 3, 1914 to Martin and Alma Pauline (Jackson) Larson. Esther was educated at the Fairview country school in Brandsvold Township, rural Fosston. She lived most of her life on her parents farm near Fosston-McIntosh, but lived part of her young life in Montana. It was on this farm that she was the helper and caregiver for her parents.Esther was a member of Salem Lutheran Church of McIntosh, but later in life attended the Fosston Baptist Church and also the United Methodist Church of Fosston accompanied by friends. She professed her faith in her Maker and God. She also was involved in Bible studies with friends.In 1993 Esther moved into Fosston and lived there until she was admitted to the First Care Hospital in Fosston where she died on January 8, 2008 at the age of 93 years and 3 months.She is survived by one known cousin in Michigan and many friends.
