Emma Freeman, age 87, of Fosston and formerly from McIntosh, Minnesota passed away on Wednesday, May 21st at First Care Hospital in Fosston. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, May 27th at 1:00 PM at First Care Nursing Home in Fosston with Joyce Brinkman officiating. Interment of cremains will be at the Bagley City Cemetery in Bagley, Minnesota and the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston is in charge of the arrangements.Emma Lucille Freeman was born on July 16,1920 to parents Charles and Kallie (Mullins)Freeman in Traverse City, Michigan. She grew up in Lansing, Michigan. When her parents divorced, Emma and her mother moved to Pound, Virginia where Emma worked in a canning factory. After her mother's death, she moved to Bagley, Minnesota and then to McIntosh. She lived at Mac Manor and Riverside Board and Lodge until she made her final home at First Care Nursing home in Fosston, Minnesota.Emma's hobbies included cooking, quilting, crocheting, and doing fancy embroidery work.On Wednesday, May 21, 2008 Emma passed away at First Care Hospital in Fosston at the age of 87 years.She is survived by her son, Alvin Freeman Holmes and her many friends.She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Evelyn [Theodore] Mobley and Sylvia [Ernest] Baker.Blessed be her memory.
