Emily Goulet

Emily Rose Goulet, age 85 from Erskine, MN passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at her home in Erskine. A private family memorial gathering in celebration of Emily's life will be held at a later time. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Erskine assisted the family with arrangements. Messages of condolence may be sent to www.carlinhoialmen.com.Emily was born in Redwood Falls, MN March 2, 1929, one of three children born to Francis and Rose Callery. Emily attended the St. Joseph's Academy in Crookston and after high school trained as a concert pianist at St Catherine's University in St Paul, MN. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Goulet on April 25, 1950 at St. Dorothy's Church in Dorothy, MN and together, Emily and Lawrence raised six children. They made their home in Huot, MN all their married lives. After her husband's death Emily moved to Auburn, WA where she resided with her eldest daughter until they moved to Erskine in recent years.Emily is preceded in death by her parents Francis and Rose Callery, her husband Lawrence Goulet, son Joseph Goulet, brothers, James and Leo Callery and sister Norean Callery. Emily is survived by her 5 daughters: Colleen Goulet of Erskine, MN, Norean (James) Gagner, Renton, WA, Annette Erickson (Jack) of Erskine, MN, Rosann (Gregory) Derosier of Eldersburg, MD, and Mary Champagne (Gale Evenson) of Lakeville, MN; 7 grandchildren; and 4 (soon to be 5) great-grandchildren. The family of Emily wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all the Doctors and Nurses at Altru of Grand Forks who took care of our mother, and Hospice of the Red River Valley who assisted our family during this difficult time.
