Emaleigh Nicole Olson, 5 year old daughter of Kenneth Olson and Jamie Renna of Fosston, MN, passed away on Monday (September 19th) at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday (September 23rd) at Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. John Dalen officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Thursday (September 22nd) at the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston. There will also be reviewal for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston and messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.com.Emaleigh Nicole Olson was born on March 31, 2006 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to parents Kenneth and Jamie (Parker) Olson. She lived in Fosston with her parents and was in Mrs. Lucken's Kindergarten class at Magelssen Elementary School in Fosston. Emaleigh enjoyed life! She loved to play with her friends, go on walks and play at the park. She also loved school and being with her teachers and classmates. She especially enjoyed playing with her brothers and sister and "cuddle time" with her parents.Despite her disabilities, Emaleigh always had a smile on her face. She was a strong person with a big heart and, even at her young age, was an inspiration to many people. She will be dearly missed. Emaleigh passed away early Monday morning, September 19, 2011 at Children's Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 5 years, five months and 19 days.She is survived by her loving parents, Kenneth and Jamie of Fosston, MN; brothers, Robbie and Lucas and sister, Makenzie all at home in Fosston; grandparents, Bob and Linda Olson of Fosston, and Allison Booth of Benton, LA; great grandparents, Lila Booth of Benton, LA, Ruby Holt of Bejou, MN, and Patricia Olson of Rochester, MN; aunts and uncles, Sarah and Jason Kotrba and their children, Kylie and Gemma of Goodridge, MN, Rocky and Allie Parker of Shreveport, LA, and Eden Miller and Morgan Miller of Shreveport, LA; and numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins.She was preceded in death by great grandparents, Alf Holt, Richard Olson, Archie Booth, and Loretta Wilson; aunts, Diane Olson and LuAnn Holzschuh; and her dog "Tiny".Honorary Pallbearers will be all of Emaleigh's family and friends and Mrs. Lucken's Kindergarten class.Active Pallbearers will be Brady Ballard, Travis Shimpa, Brandon Olson and Chris Buschette.
