Elna Jellum, age 90, resident of the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, MN for the past 15 months, and formerly of Grand Rapids, MN, passed away on Thursday (October 21st) at the care center. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday (October 24th) at the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the care center. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday (October 25th) at Itasca-Calvary Cemetery in Grand Rapids, MN. She graduated from Grand Rapids High School and after teacher training at Pine River, Minnesota she taught in one-room schools near Mahnomen and Solway, Minnesota.Elna worked for Fanny Farmer Candy Company, training store managers in the Twin Cities, Duluth, Winona, Fargo and Grand Forks, North Dakota, Billings, Montana, and Dallas, Texas. Elna was a special auntie to her nephews and nieces, Robert, Judy, Susan, Kerry, Karen, Curtis, Timmy, Donald and Sherry and many grand and great grand nephews and nieces. She was also was a special friend to those she had a fellowship with in Grand Rapids. Elna is also survived by one sister, Bergit (Earl) Swenson of Oklee, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Delbert and Paul.
