Ellen Curfman, 86, of Morris, MN and formerly of Fosston, MN, passed away on Wednesday (April 25th) at West Wind Village Nursing Home in Morris. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday (April 30th) at Bethel Assembly Church in Fosston with Pastor David Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Cross Lake Cemetery, rural Fosston. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston. Family condolences may be sent at www.carlinhoialmen.com.Ellen Curfman, daughter of Oscar and Clara (Holverson) Torie was born on April 26, 1920 on her parents farm near Robb, North Dakota.She attended a one room school house in central North Dakota and later graduated from Fosston High School in Fosston, Minnesota with the class of 1939.She was united in marriage on June 9, 1941 to Howard Curfman at Fosston. She worked for 27 years at Hartz Food Store in Fosston. Ellen lived in the Fosston area until 2001 when she relocated to Morris, Minnesota.Ellen passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at the West Wind Village Nursing Home in Morris at the age of 86 years.She is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Stall of Brainerd, MN; and three sons, Ordell (Karla) Curfman of Fosston, Delvin (Theresa) Curfman of Morris, and Larry (Veronica) Curfman of Morris. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Gloria Curfman of Palo, MN.She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; son, Melford; and one great granddaughter, Alexandra Rose Curfman. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Clarine Fisher; and two brothers, Marvin and Gordan Torie.
