Elaine Foldoe

Elaine Foldoe, age 83, of rural Mentor, MN, passed away on Saturday, January 13th at her home. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 19th, at Faith Lutheran Church in Mentor with the Rev. Michael Sletto officiating. Interment will be in Faith Lutheran Cemetery in the spring. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin Funeral Home of Erskine and messages of condolence may be sent at www.carlinfuneral.com.Elaine Lucille Berg was born on April 14, 1934 in Twin Valley, Minnesota to parents Walter and Gladys Benson Berg. She graduated from Twin Valley High School and Moorhead State Teacher's College.She was united in marriage to Leslie Foldoe on June 2, 1954 in Twin Valley. Elaine was a teacher at Stephen, Fertile, Erskine and Mentor, Minnesota. She retired in 1973 and farmed side by side with her husband, Leslie, for many years.She loved her family, baking, and the Minnesota Twins.Elaine is survived by three children, Steve (Naomi) of Mentor, Valorie (Paul) Johnson of Faribault, MN, and Douglas (Paula) of Mentor; 11 grandchildren, Chris, Joseph, Jon, Brandon, Lori, Sarah, Emily, Jabez, Zachery, Chassy and Shawn; 8 great grandchildren, Hunter, Rylin, Tracer, Coy, Triston, Peyton, Presley, and Tahlen; brother, Curtis (Allie) Berg; and sister-in-law, Wilma (Anton) Oleson. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie, on March 5, 2015; daughter, Lori; her parents; and sister, Marian.
