Edna Pearson, age 84, of McIntosh, Minnesota passed away on Monday (February 4th) at her home in McIntosh. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday (February 11th) at Salem Lutheran Church in McIntosh with the Rev. Aage Carlsen officiating. Interment will be in Asphult Lutheran Cemetery, rural McIntosh in the spring. Friends may call for one hour prior to the service on at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home, serving McIntosh and condolences may be sent at www.carlinhoialmen.com.Edna Mae Dulmage was born on October 4, 1923 in Leeds, North Dakota to parents William and Edna (Alexander) Dulmage. She moved with her family from North Dakota to the Poplar Lake are near Fosston, Minnesota. Edna attended rural school, graduated from Fosston High School and later Bemidji State Teachers College in Bemidji, Minnesota. Following her education, she taught at many schools throughout the area. She was united in marriage to Reuben Pearson in 1946 at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston. After her marriage, Edna taught school in Brady, Montana. She returned to Minnesota due to Reuben's ill health and he passed away in 1960. Edna remained in McIntosh where she was a teacher, librarian and elementary school Principal. Edna retired in the early 1980's from the McIntosh-Winger School District.After her retirement, Edna enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed playing cards, bingo and traveling. She was a past member of Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston and a long-time member of Salem Lutheran Church in McIntosh.Edna passed away on Monday, February 4, 2008 at her home in McIntosh at the age of 84 years and four months.Survivors include two sisters, Florence (David) Klinger of McIntosh, and Jean Williams of Seattle, WA; and three brothers, James Dulmage of Seattle, WA, John (Pat) Dulmage of Champlin, MN and William Dulmage; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
