Douglas Flaskerud

There will be a graveside memorial service for Douglas Flaskerud, age 62 of Fosston, MN held on Wednesday, May 20th at 6:30 PM at Poplar River Cemetery, rural Fosston with Marilyn Malmanger officiating. Douglas passed away back on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Essentia Health Living Center in Fosston. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston assisted with the arrangements.Douglas Mitchel Flaskerud was born on July 12, 1952, in Fosston, Minnesota to parents Melvin and Cora (Kompelien) Flaskerud. Douglas spent his entire life in the Fosston area. He worked for many years at the sugar beet factory in Crookston, Minnesota. He suffered a disabling stroke ten years ago, limiting his mobility.He is survived by numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father (1953) and mother (1979).Blessed be his memory
