Diana was born February 24, 1925, in Fosston, Minnesota and was the 6th child of Francis Houghton Lohn and Gunda Henrietta Haug Lohn.
DeeDee graduated from Fosston High school, class of 1943. She was educated as a Medical Lab Technician by the sisters of Mount Saint Benedict in Crookston, MN. DeeDee maintained her medical credentials and was gainfully employed until her retirement in 1990.
DeeDee enjoyed crocheting, knitting, read tons of books, loved her puppies, would recall, and talk for hours, about her family, friends, and her happy memories of growing up in Fosston. She cherished her father, loved her mother, and adored her brothers and sisters. Her family and her friends and their families, were the subjects of all her conversations. A particularly good friend of DeeDee’s, from Arizona remembers meeting her and listening to all her stories that she shared about her childhood friends and her family. As far as DeeDee was concerned, life begins and ends with Fosston.
So, it will. She will be buried in the Lohn family plot at the Rose Hill cemetery near her mother and father. A private family gathering will surround her as they celebrate her life.
DeeDee is survived by many nieces and nephews that live in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Illinois.
