DeWayne "Punky" OstenaaDeWayne "Punky" Ostenaa, age 67, of McIntosh, Minnesota passed away on Thursday, June 5th at Clearwater County Memorial Hospital in Bagley, Minnesota. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 9th at 2:00 PM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh with Rev. Aage Carlsen officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the funeral at the church. Interment will be at Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery in McIntosh and the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home serving McIntosh is in charge of the arrangements.DeWayne Curtis Ostenaa was born on October 14, 1940 to parents Sidney and Olga (Svien) Ostenaa in Fosston, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church and attended school in McIntosh, Minnesota.DeWayne served his country in the United States Air National Guard from 1963 to 1969.He was united in marriage to Lois Andress on July 9, 1966 and they made their home at McIntosh where DeWayne farmed all his life in partnership with his father.He enjoyed the outdoors, being with his friends, having coffee, and talking farming, hunting and fishing. He was a lifelong member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.On Thursday, June 5, 2008 DeWayne "Punky" Ostenaa passed away at Clearwater County Memorial Hospital in Bagley, Minnesota at the age of 67 years.Survivors include his wife, Lois of McIntosh; his parents, Sidney and Olga of McIntosh; uncle and aunt, Joe and Bess Svien of Glasgow, MT, aunt, Lillian Enevold of Kalispell, MT, aunt, Ida Ytzen of St. Paul, MN; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Olaus and Sarah Ostenaa and Oscar and Selma Svien.
