Denise Spicer, age 45, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Wednesday (December 30th) at her home following a courageous battle with cancer. Friends and family are invited to stop by to visit between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on Sunday (January 17th) at apartment 11 in the north building of the Towne Square Apartments, 221 Kaiser Ave. N, in Fosston. She grew up and attended school in Chicago and then worked various jobs in many different states. She met Todd Spicer in Rapid City, South Dakota and they were married there on August 16, 2003. After their marriage, they lived in Rapid City, Shelly, Minnesota and settled in Fosston in 2005. Denise was employed at MDV in Fosston until she was forced to quit due to health reasons.Denise enjoyed fishing, music and animals. She especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Denise always wore a smile on her face and her heart on her sleeve.Survivors include her husband, Todd of Fosston; sister, Tina Barnes along with other siblings; brothers-in-law, Chuck and Kent Spicer; sisters-in-law, Beth Anderson, Amy Johnson, and Mary McKeever. Nieces and nephews also survive.She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Betty Spicer.
