Delores Winkler, age 89, of rural Fosston, MN, passed away on Thursday, September 20th, at Essentia Health Living Center in Fosston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 24th, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Beaulieu with Father Dave Super presiding. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service and a Rosary to follow the prayer service on Sunday, September 23rd. There will also be reviewal for one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. All visitation will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Beaulieu. Delores Marie Fisher was born on November 4, 1928 in Fosston, Minnesota to parents Charles and Margaret Straub Fisher. She grew up near Mahnomen and graduated from Mahnomen High School. After high school, she lived in Fargo for a year and worked at Kriegie's. Delores was united in marriage to Kenneth Winkler on November 4, 1948 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Beaulieu. After their marriage, they lived on Kenny's family farm until 1950 when they purchased their own homestead in Heier Township. It was here that they lived and raised their three children, Jerry, Randy and Sherry.Delores was a faithful member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and was active in Christian Mother's. She was also a member of the Heier Hobby Club for many years. She enjoyed sewing and sewed a lot of clothing for her family including wedding dresses. Survivors include her two sons, Jerry (Mary) and Randy (Gloria), all of rural Fosston; and one daughter, Sherry (Steve) Miller of St. Hilaire, MN; seven grandchildren, Kenny (Christina), Kevin (Faith), Richard (April), Nicholas (Debra) Winkler, Aaron (Terri) Miller, and Margaret and Megan Miller (fiancé, Bryce); 11 great grandchildren, McCayla, Justin, Arianna and Gavin Winkler, Oliver Miller, Charley Miller, Lucas, Logan, Camdyn, Kaycelyn, and Liam Winkler, and Branson and Jaliyah; one sister, Betty Martin of Columbus, OH; sister-in-law, Cecelia Winkler of Fosston, Shirley Welle of Fergus Falls, MN and Lorraine Welle of Detroit Lakes, MN. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, on November 19, 2011; her parents; two sisters, Margaret Fisher and Annabelle Klinkhammer; and brothers-in-law, Joey Klinkhammer and Don Martin.
