David Siedschlag, age 70, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Monday, October 31st, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4th, at St. Marys Catholic Church in Fosston with Father JohnMelkies Suvakeen presiding. Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Fosston. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:45 p.m. followed by a Wake Service at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3rd. There will also be reviewal for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. All visitation will be held at St. Marys Catholic Church in Fosston. David the son of August and Anna (Schmitz) Siedschlag, was born on November 7, 1945 and grew up on a farm 12 miles south of Lengby, Minnesota. He graduated from Mahnomen High School in 1963. He then went to Thief River Falls Technical College for welding. David was united in marriage to Marjorie Maruska at Holy Family Church in Kirkland, Washington on July 20, 1968. They lived in Renton, Washington for one year, then moved back to Lengby in July of 1969. They moved to the family farm in 1972 where they lived until October of 2002 when they sold the farm and moved to Fosston. David drove school bus, farmed, drove Heartland Express and was a Clover Township Supervisor and Mahnomen County Commissioner for 20 years. David is survived by his wife Marge of Fosston; five children, Ron (Kari) of Hawley, MN, Tammie (Joe) Doebler of Warroad, MN, Jeff of Fosston, Steven of Roseau, MN, and Brian (Holly) of Sauk Centre, MN; four grandchildren, Cassie (Keanen) Schwab, Mariah, Allie and Noah; and one great grandchild, Emmitt Schwab; one brother, Richard (Erma) Siedschlag of Kragnes, MN; and sisters, Lois Hodgdon of Shoreline, WA, Sharon Anderson of Fargo, ND, and Linda Atkins of Detroit Lakes, MN. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James; three brothers-in-law, Rick Harvala, Tom Atkins, and Howard Anderson; two nephews, Howard Anderson, Jr., and Daniel Siedschlag; and one niece, Richelle Harvala Munson. Honorary Pallbearers: Davids children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Active Pallbearers: Tony Maruska, Don Johnson, Don Boehrnsen, Leonard Ball, John Cullen, and Bob Ball.
