David Graff, age 67, of Gully, Minnesota passed away on Sunday (September 6th) at Innovis Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota after a long battle with diabetes. Family and friends are invited to gather in David's memory beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday (September 10th) at his home in Gully. Inurnment will be held at a later date in California. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston assisted the family with arrangements and messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.com.David Earl Graff was born on July 22, 1942 to John David Graff and Rose Mary (Pat) Shane Hay in Sacramento, California. Dave is the third of four children, Marvin, Verna (Joe) Puglisi and Frank. Dave attended school in Sacramento and graduated from Wheatland High School. Dave entered the United States Air Force in 1959 and was honorably discharged in 1963. He worked civil service jobs until he became employed with McClellan Air Force Base and stayed there until he retired after 25 years.On June 5, 1965, Dave and Sandie were married in Sacramento. They had two girls, Angela (Dave) Vize and Shanie Graff. They also have two grandchildren, Laura Alaine (9) and John David Vize (7). Both daughters and family live in the Sacramento area.Dave and Sandie lived in Plymouth, Minnesota until she retired. They moved to Gully on October 25, 1997. Dave sat on the City Council and was mayor for a couple of terms.Dave was a beloved member of his family, a good friend to many and a great neighbor to all. He never met a stranger that did not leave as his friend. He could be anywhere at anytime and see someone he knew and knew him. He will be greatly missed by all including his dog, Jilly.Dave is preceded in death by his father, brother (Marvin Graff), mother, step father (Robert Hay), and niece (Valerie Kneeland).
