David Arneberg, age 49, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Saturday (September 19th) at First Care Hospital in Fosston after a courageous three year battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday (September 24th) at Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. John Dalen officiating. Interment will be in Kingo Lutheran Cemetery, Fosston. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Wednesday (September 23rd) at the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston. There will also be reviewal for one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. He graduated from Fosston High School and the Detroit Lakes Area Vocational College. He was married to Debra Mootz on march 9, 1985. He drove truck for many years until ill health prevented it.David liked to hunt and fish.Survivors include his three sons, Derick of Boston, MA, and Dustin and Devin, both of Fosston; his mother, Lylah Hanson of McIntosh, MN; sister, Cheryl Vorderbruggen of Fosston; and special friend, Luann Dufault of Fosston; step brother, Wendel (Jan) Hanson of Fosston; and step sister, Mae Bakken of Fosston; one niece, Cara (Shane) Anderson of Iowa; and nephew, Cory (Heather) Strandlien of Shevlin, MN; 5 great nieces, Madison, Macy and McKenna Strandlien, and Katie and Brylie Anderson; as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.He was preceded in death by his father, Swen Arneberg; step father, Gwendel Hanson; and grandparents, Asbjorn and Anne Arneberg and Selmer and Bernice Loland.Honorary Pallbearers will be David's hunting and fishing buddies and his trucking friends.Pallbearers will be Mark Bingham, Cory Strandlien, Brent Bjorkman, Miles Rouland, Billy Winters, and Steve Stone.
