Darlene Hanson

Darlene Hanson, age 82 of Erskine, MN passed away on Monday, October 10th at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 21st at 2:00 PM at the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine with Rev. Timothy Lundeen officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the memorial service at the care center on Friday afternoon. Interment of cremains will be at Emardville Cemetery, rural Plummer, MN. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Erskine is in charge of the arrangements. Darlene JoAnn Hanson was born October 18, 1933 at home in Plummer, MN to parents John L. and Clara (Bakken) Hanson. She grew up in Plummer where she graduated from Pershing High School in 1952. After high school Darlene spent a few years at home in Plummer before moving to Bloomington, MN where she spent most of her adult life. She enjoyed crafts, especially embroidery and knitting, and doing puzzles and crossword puzzles. She was a very Faithful person and studied the Bible often. She enjoyed shopping and going out to eat and was very interested in her family, especially her nieces and nephews, and she was a very comical person with a memorable laugh. On Monday, October 10, 2016 Darlene passed away at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, MN at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 22 days. She is survived by her sister Jeannette Carriere of Oklee, MN; sisters-in-law, Janis Hanson of Mentor, MN and Bess Hanson of Vacaville, CA; four nephews, Rick Hanson, Neil Carriere, Bob Carriere and Mike Hanson; eight nieces, Debbie Chadwick, Cindy Coyen, Diane Amiot, Mary Jo Mugaas, Jeanne Halle, Nancy Carriere, Jennifer Hageman and Christina Hanson; and numerous great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Wally and Vernon; and brother-in-law LeRoy Carriere. Blessed be her memory
