Daniel "Dupper" MoranDaniel Moran, age 57, of Erskine, MN passed away on Thursday, June 5th at his home in Erskine. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 10th at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fosston, MN with Father Dave Super, Father Dan Noah and Father Tim Noah presiding. Visitation will be held for one hour before the funeral at the church. Interment will be at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery at Mentor, MN and the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home serving Erskine is in charge of the arrangements.Daniel "Dupper" Vincent Moran was born on February 2, 1951 to Leo "Tuffy" and Betty (Noah) Moran in Crookston, MN. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. He attended and graduated Erskine High School in 1969.Danny worked at Detroiter Mobile Home Mfg. in Red Lake Falls, Soo-Line Railroad, Moran's Steak House & Lounge in Winger and took over Moran's Insurance for Polk, Red Lake and Norman county for 25 yrs.He enjoyed his two boys David and Justin. He especially loved watching Justin's baseball games. He loved to cook and entertain his family and friends. He loved to make people happy and he enjoyed life to it's fullest.On Thursday, June 5, 2008 Danny passed away at his home in Erskine at the age of 57 years.Danny is survived by his son, David (Efimia) Moran and granddaughters, Kristina (7) and Marianna (5) of Big Lake, MN and son, Justin Moran of Erskine, MN. Two brothers, Mike of Winger, MN and Patrick of Erskine, MN. Two sisters, Margie (Rory) Simonson of Mentor, MN and Mary Joe (Larry) Gilbertson of Waxahachie, TX and many nieces, nephews and cousins.Danny was preceded in death by his son, Darren Kyle, his parents, Leo and Betty and grandparents, Loyd and Josephine Moran.Blessed be his memory and may his memory live on in all of us.
