Dale Agnes, age 54 of Powder Springs, GA and formerly from Gully, MN passed away on Sunday (November 23rd) at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, GA. A memorial Mass will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday (December 5th) at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee with Father Bill DeCrans presiding. Interment will be in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Trail. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Dale Francis Agnes was born on May 13, 1960 to parents Vincent and Geraldine (Pladsen) Agnes. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Charles Catholic Church in Trail, Minnesota. He grew up on the family farm north of Gully and graduated from Fosston High School in 1978.Dale was united in marriage to Darci Olson and moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he worked for Ronco Irrigation. He later purchased the company and ran it until his son, Dustin, took over in 2007. Dale continued to work beside his sons until his passing. Dale loved spending time with his two sons, Dustin and Josh, and his grandson, Liam. He loved telling him about his family in Minnesota and teaching him about tractors and heavy equipment. He also enjoyed watching sports, fishing, and playing with his two dogs. Dale loved his family and despite the distance always helped in any way he could to make sure all his family in Minnesota were taken care of. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his kind and caring heart.Dale passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia surrounded by his family after suffering a stroke on November 19th.Dale is survived by his sons, Dustin (Melissa) Agnes of Kennesaw, GA and Joshua (Jacqueline) Agnes of Powder Springs, GA; his grandson, Liam Agnes; parents, Vincent and Geraldine Agnes of Gully, MN; brothers, Brian (Kelly) Agnes of Cotton, MN, Jerry Agnes of Gully, MN, and Kevin Agnes of Gully, MN; sisters, Connie (Greg) Eck of Trail, MN and Heidi (Noel) Wagner of Trail, MN; and aunt Marian Weber of Fosston, MN. Nine nieces and nephews; eight great nieces and nephews and many cousins also survive.He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his brother, James Agnes; aunt, Sharon Lund; uncles, Francis Weber and Lyle Lund; cousin, Karen Bushelle; and great niece, Hallie Hoeft.
