Constance Hixon

Constance Hixon, age 96, from Erskine, MN passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at her home in Erskine. Memorial services for Constance will be held at a later date in Florida. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Erskine assisted the family with the arrangements.Constance Irene Black was born on April 14, 1915 to parents James and Adeline (Smith) Black in Rising Fawn, Georgia. She grew up in Drumright, Oklahoma where she graduated from high school.Constance was united in marriage to Donald Hixon in 1942. They traveled extensively due to Donald's career in the U.S. Air Force. Constance loved to travel including a trip to Israel. Constance and Donald retired to the Milton/Bagdad, Florida area. Donald passed away in July of 1990.In 2009, Constance moved to Erskine, Minnesota to live with her son David.She is survived by her son David of Erskine; many grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, LaDon Prather; one grandson, Bryan Tyner; and eight brothers and sisters.Blessed be her memory
