Clifton Burslie

Clifton Burslie, age 77, of McIntosh, MN, passed away on Monday (November 12th) at the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, MN. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday (November 17th) at Our Saviorâ�™s Lutheran Church in McIntosh with the Rev. Aage Carlsen officiating. Interment will be in Our Saviorâ�™s Lutheran Cemetery, McIntosh. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the church. Military honors will be provided by the McIntosh VFW Post #6891 and arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home, serving McIntosh. Online guestbook is available at www.carlinhoialmen.com.Clifton Emerson Burslie was born on November 13, 1929 at McIntosh, Minnesota the son of Melvin and Inga (Olson) Burslie. He graduated from McIntosh High School and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Carole Lillesve on July 6, 1952 at Our Saviorâ�™s Lutheran Church in McIntosh. They moved to Spokane, Washington where he was stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base. He also was stationed at Guam for a short time during the Korean Conflict. They moved back to McIntosh in the fall of 1955 where he worked with his brother Birdean at Burslie Chevrolet until he partnered with Armond Sannes at McIntosh Motors. He retired in 1992 from the auto repair business. He enjoyed life with family and friends on his â�œ40â��½.Clifton passed away on Monday, November 12, 2007 at the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 30 days.Survivors include his wife; sons, Calvin (Cathleen) Burslie of Henderson, NV, Chad (Wendy) Burslie of Lakeville, MN, Carey Jon (Elaine) Burslie of McIntosh, Coby (Gayle) Burslie of St. Michael, MN, and Cameron (Christy) Burslie of Cloquet, MN; one sister, Shirley Jablonski of Bloomington, IN. Grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.
