Clayton Juve, age 85, of Fosston, MN passed away on Wednesday, September 30th at First Care Hospital in Fosston. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 6th at 11:00 AM at Bethel Assembly Church in Fosston with Pastor Marvel Juve officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the funeral at the church, and interment will be at Queen Cemetery, rural Fosston. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston is in charge of the arrangements. Memorials can be directed to the Queen Cemetery Fund.Clayton Orville Juve was born on January 15, 1924 at home in Brandsvold Township, rural Fosston, Minnesota to parents Thor-Thorvald "TT"and Carrie (Rusten) Juve. He attended school through the eighth grade at the Cloverdale School District No. 237. He then stayed home farming until he was inducted into the United States Army at the age of 25 years. In 1949, he took basic training at Camp Chaffee in Arkansas and then was stationed in Fort Lewis, Texas. He received his honorable discharge in 1950. Following his discharge, he worked at American Crystal Sugar in East Grand Forks, Minnesota on the sugar dryer during the winters, from 1950 through 1960. In the summer months, Clayton worked on the Ralph Sorenson farm near Fisher, Minnesota.In 1960, Clayton went to work and live on the Lloyd and Judy Dunrud farm until his retirement in 2000. Following his retirement, Clayton lived with his sister, Gladys, until entering the First Care Nursing Home in Fosston in the fall of 2002. He became a resident of the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine in the fall of 2008. Clayton passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at First Care Hospital in Fosston at the age of 85 years.He is survived by sister-in-law, Mary Ann Juve of Fosston; several nieces, nephews and other relatives; and extended family, Lloyd and Judy Dunrud, Steven, Stephanie, Joel and Bryan.He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Gladys Anderson and Stella Bjordahl; five brothers, Alfred, Clarence, Kermit, Robert, and Leland.
