Clara "Cal" Lang, age 100, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Thursday (April 19th) at First Care Nursing Home in Fosston. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday (April 24th) at Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. John Dalen officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Park Rapids, MN. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston. Online guestbook is available at www.carlinhoialmen.com.Clara Salina Lee was born on February 1, 1907 to John H. and Ragnild (Myklejord) Lee, on the family homestead farm in Brandsvold Township, rural Fosston. Clara was a member of Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston. She attended rural country school and was the only member of the Lee family to graduate from high school, which she did in 1926. After high school, Clara attended business college in Grand Forks, North Dakota.During the depression, Clara moved to Minneapolis and worked as a bookkeeper. When World War II broke out, she helped with the war efforts by working at an ammunition plant. Following the war, she worked for over 30 years in a sewing factory.In 1955, she married Michael Lang. Mike and Clara spent their vacations traveling with bus tours, collecting over thirty years of memories. After Mike's retirement they moved to their lake home near Longville, Minnesota. Later they moved into Park Rapids, Minnesota where Mike died in 1988. Since then Clara has made her home in Fosston.Clara entered the First Care Nursing Home on November 1, 2003, where on April 19, 2007 she passed away at the age of 100 years and 78 days. Clara was the last remaining member of the John Lee family.She is survived by a stepson, Michael (Ollie) Lang of Worthington, MN and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and all of her brothers and sisters, Anna Lee, Anna Nelson, Ole Lee, Sophie Ulmer, Hilda Orr, Halvor Lee, Alma Thomas, Thea Nordland, and Charley Lee.
