Chad Norberg

Chad Norberg, age 46, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 8th. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13th, at the Carlin Funeral Home in Fosston with the Rev. John Ragan officiating. Interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Fosston. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Chad Alan Norberg was born on December 13, 1978, in Crookston, Minnesota to parents Harley and Debra (Crotteau) Norberg. He started school in Crookston and graduated from Fosston High School. Chad worked at various jobs around the area through the years.

Chad enjoyed fishing, playing guitar, country music, and writing songs and poems. He truly was a good soul and loved his family. Chad would have wanted a different path for his life but his lifelong struggle with mental illness was a barrier that he couldn’t overcome. He will be missed.

Survivors include his mother, Deb Vedbraaten (Arley Halvorson) of Bagley, MN; sister, Bobbie Plante of North Branch, MN; brother, Ryan Norberg (Chrissy Munter) of Fosston, MN; half-brother, Dylan Sherette (Amy Conrad) of Fargo, ND; and half-sister, Audrey Norberg (Brandon Kiffmeyer) of Clear Lake, MN. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harley Norberg; step-father, Tony Vedbraaten; maternal and paternal grandparents, and several Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
