Cecelia Winkler, age 83, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Friday, November 16th, at Essentia Health Living Center in Fosston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 21st at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Beaulieu, MN with Father Dave Super and Father JohnMelkies Suvakeen Concelebrating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service followed by a Rosary on Tuesday, November 20th and for one hour prior to the church on Wednesday. All visitation will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Beaulieu. Cecelia Mae Folstrom was born on September 9, 1935 in Bejou, Minnesota to parents George and Elizabeth (Riescump) Folstrom. She attended school through the eighth grade in Bejou and graduated from Mahnomen High School in 1953. Following school, she lived in Fargo and worked at Libbey's.Cecelia was united in marriage to James Winkler on November 22, 1958 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Bejou. After their marriage, they farmed and raised their family in Heier Township between Mahnomen and Fosston. Jim passed away on November 7, 1996. She continued to live on the farm until earlier this year when she moved in to Fosston for health reasons.Cecelia was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where she was active in CCG. She was an accomplished cook and baker. If she knew someone was coming to visit, she often baked their favorite desert including her famous Crazy Cake. She enjoyed sharing a hot cup of coffee with friends and family. She loved watching her children's, grandchildren's and great grandchild's activities throughout the years. She played many card games at family get togethers. She was active in the Heier Hobby Club and greatly enjoyed gathering monthly with her high school class. She will be dearly missed.Survivors include three sons: Bob (Heather) of Mahnomen, Mark (Nancy) of Fosston and Christopher of Fosston; one daughter: Vickie (Barry) Anderson of Fosston; five grandchildren: Liza, Betsy, Aly (Nick Larson), Maddie and Bronson; and one great granddaughter: Ava. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Lorraine Welle of Detroit Lakes, MN and Shirley Welle of Fergus Falls, MN and many special nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; her parents; her siblings; sisters-in law and brothers-in-law.Honorary Pallbearers: Heier Homemaker's, Mahnomen High School Class of 1953 and Essentia Long Term Care Staff.Active Pallbearers: Jim Steinmetz, Joe Sova, Nick Larson, Bronson Winkler, Nick Winkler and Kenny Winkler.
