Carl Morlock

Carl Morlock, age 52 of Erskine, MN passed away on Monday, April 7th at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine. Memorial services will be held on Friday, April 11th at 2:00 PM at Grace Lutheran Church in Erskine with Rev. Timothy Lundeen officiating. Family will greet friends for one hour before the memorial service at the church on Friday. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Erskine is in charge of the arrangements. Messages of condolence may be sent to www.carlinhoialmen.com. Carl Allan Morlock was born in Bloomington, MN on February 25, 1962; he was the son of Carl and Vera (Michael) Morlock. Carl graduated from Onamia High School in 1980. Following his graduation he began logging with his father and brother Ron. On August 23, 1991 he was united in marriage to Kelli Ann Sharp, who he described as his Red Headed Firecracker. The couple resided in Alexandria before moving to Fosston and then permanently residing in Erskine. Carl worked for Northern Milks in Fosston, MN where he was a dryer operator for 6 years. He then proceeded to work in the construction field and log home building before heading out to Williston, ND for 2.5 years, before deciding to come home and be closer to his family and work at the Lakeside Building Center and Joes Auto in Erskine. He was a fun loving man with a big heart. He loved to laugh, tell jokes, share stories and spend time with his family. His sense of humor was undeniable. He loved to rummage sale; work out in his garage, and loved fishing! Carl was the kind of man who would befriend the person pumping gas next to him, lend a helping hand to anyone in need, and tell a joke to cheer up anybody having a bad day. Carls grandchildren meant the world to him. He was a devoted husband, amazing father and grandfather and a great friend. He loved life. His fun-loving spirit and sense of humor will be forever remembered. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Carl Allan Morlock died on April 7th, 2014 at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine, MN at the age of 52 years. He is survived by his wife, Kelli Morlock of Erskine, his children Aron Morlock (Brianna Lene) of Erskine, Megan Morlock of Winger and Gabriel Morlock (Mike Meyer) of Circle Pines. Also surviving are his grandchildren Johnathon Morlock, Aiden Espeseth, Nora- June Morlock and Aron Morlock Jr, honorary grandchildren Austin Oneil, Mason Elbinger and Madison Thompson and brother Ron Morlock of Lengby, MN and sister Carla Noack (Ken Noack) of Ogilvie, MN. He is also survived by cousins and nieces and nephews. Carl was preceded in death by his parents and sister Kathy.
