Brad Sistad, age 60, of Fosston, MN, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, February 16th, at Mission Nursing Home in Plymouth, MN. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21st, at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. Peter Lurvey officiating. Interment will be in Golden Valley Cemetery, Wannaska, MN, in the spring. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the church. Bradley Wayne Sistad was born on June 25, 1964, in Fosston, Minnesota to parents Dennis and Ilene (Cleaveland) Sistad. He grew up in Fosston and graduated from Fosston High School.
Brad lived in Crookston for many years. He married Mary Larson on June 7, 2007, at the courthouse in Crookston. They renewed their vows on their one-year wedding anniversary at the Crookston Assembly of God.
In his free time, Brad enjoyed going to McDonald’s and sharing his faith. He liked to sit outside of his apartment and by the bridge across from the police station and greet and wave to people. He loved spending time with his wife, Mary, and cat, Junior. He also enjoyed spending time with friends. Brad would help Mary with her paper route.
Brad graduated from his earthy home to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus, on Sunday, February 16, 2025. He loved Jesus and his family fiercely.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; his parents, Dennis and Ilene Sistad; his siblings, Paul (Dawn) Sistad, Teresa (Kim) Hash, Brenda (Jay) Gerner, and Randy Sistad; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
