Betty Mostrom, age 64, from rural Gonvick, MN passed away on Friday, February 13th at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 20th at 11:00 AM at Nazareth Lutheran Church, rural Gully, MN with Rev. Joseph Abrahamson officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston, MN and for one hour before the funeral at the church. Interment will be at Nazareth Lutheran Cemetery and the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston is in charge of the arrangements.Betty Lou Benson was born on December 31, 1944 in Minneapolis, MN to parents William and Edith (Iverson) Benson. She grew up in Hopkins, MN and graduated from Hopkins Senior High School in 1962.Betty was united in marriage to Forrest Mostrom on April 13, 1963 at Samhold Lutheran Church in Gonvick, MN. They made their home at Gonvick where they have lived for 45 years. Betty worked for many years at Arctic Cat of Thief River Falls and PRD (TEAM) of Bagley, MN.She was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church.Betty enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing bingo and playing cards.On Friday, February 13, 2009 Betty Mostrom passed away at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND at the age of 64 years.Survivors include her husband, Forrest of Gonvick; two sisters, Donna Benson of Gonvick and Violet Distel of New Braunfels, TX; six brothers, Elmer Iverson, Ronald Iverson, Edward Iverson, Richard Iverson, Clarence Iverson and Elroy Iverson; as well as many other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Julie Mostrom; and one sister, Mary Carda.Betty was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.Blessed be her memory.
