Bernice Anderson

Bernice Anderson, age 71, of Fosston, MN passed away on Wednesday, June 15th, at Essentia Health First Care Living Center in Fosston. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21st, at Hope Lutheran Church in Fosston with Rev. Paul Magelssen officiating. Interment will be in Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Fosston. Visitation will be held Monday, June 20th, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service at the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston. There will also be reviewal for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Tuesday afternoon. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston. Messages of condolence may be sent to carlinhoialmen.com.Bernice Karen Hazelwood was born November 25, 1944, the daughter of William and Hazel (Broughton) Hazelwood in Barnesville, MN, where she grew up. She moved to Erskine, MN in the 60's, and was a stay at home loving mother. In later years, she worked at McIntosh Manor Nursing Home in McIntosh, MN, and REM Group Homes in Fosston, MN. She also volunteered for senior meals in McIntosh. She truly loved helping and taking care of her family and anyone in need. She had a divine faith in God, and will be dearly missed by all.On Wednesday, June 15, 2016 Bernice passed away at Essentia Health First Care Living Center in Fosston at the age of 71 years.Bernice is survived by her children, Dianne Plante of Brooks, MN; Judy Black of Thief River Falls, MN; Bill (Jen) Anderson of Fosston, MN; Tammy (Ken) Kaasa of Gully, MN; Dan (Lori) Anderson of Goodridge, MN; Duaine (Lindsay) Anderson of Fosston, MN; sister, Elnor Shaver of McIntosh, MN; brother, William (Sandra) Hazelwood of Tarboro, NC; 22 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hazel Hazelwood; stepfather, Lewis Pederson; son, David Bommer; sister, Esther McDonald; brother, Leo Hazelwood; brother, Harkness Hazelwood; brother, Charles Hazelwood; sister, Fern Hazelwood; sister, Rosemary Hazelwood; nephew, Wally Cook; nephew, Todd Hazelwood; nephew, Dion Hazelwood; son-in-law, Johnny Plante; and son-in-law, Roger Black.
