Arthur Hubbard, age 81, of McIntosh, MN and formerly of Fosston, MN, passed away on Thursday (April 14th) at McIntosh Senior Living. No services will be held at this time. Messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.com.Arthur Fred Hubbard was born on May 17, 1929 in Hollywood, California to parents Arthur C. and Rose Elizabeth (Hartman) Hubbard. His family lived in Glendale, California and then moved to the desert area of California in 1935. He graduated from Victorville High School in Victorville, California in 1947.Art entered the United States Marine Corps in March of 1952 during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Bonita May Ricketts on October 18, 1952. Art continued his service to his country until receiving his honorable discharge in March of 1955. After the service, Art and Bonita made their home in Victorville. In 1971, they moved to Oregon where they lived and raised their family mainly in Woodburn and Salem. Art and Bonita owned and operated a gas station and Art did mechanic work for many years. They moved to Fosston, Minnesota in March of 2003 and then to McIntosh, Minnesota in January of 2011.Art enjoyed model airplane flying and working on cars.Survivors include his wife, Bonita of McIntosh, MN; six children, Roy Pugh and his wife, Joyce of Redwood, CA, Arthur Hubbard of Clearwater, FL, John Hubbard and his wife, Evelyn of Independence, OR, Jeffrey Hubbard of South San Francisco, CA, Mark Hubbard and his wife, Lisa of Hubbard, OR, and Kathleen Mullen and her husband, Mike of Portland, OR; five grandchildren, Melissa Pugh, Brian Pugh, Zachary Hubbard, Melody Price, and Teddy Koessel; two great grandchildren, Evan and Gabriel; and sister-in-law, Mary Ricketts of Fosston.He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Christopher Pugh; and brother-in-law, Charles Ricketts.
