Arlys (Trulsen) White Wayrynen, age 67 of Nashwauk and formerly from Fosston, MN passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 2nd at her residence in Nashwauk. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, June 11th at 2:30 p.m. at the Carlin-Hoialmen funeral home in Fosston with Rev. Michelle Miller officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home. Interment of cremains will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in Columbia Township, rural Fosston. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston. Messages of condolence may be sent to carlinhoialmen.com.Arlys Jeanette Trulsen was born June 8th, 1948, to Leonard and Ruth (Sovick) Trulsen of Fosston, MN. She went to school in Fosston and Gonvick, MN, before moving to the Twin Cities. After a few years, Arlys moved back to the Fosston area and worked at the Fosston Hospital in the 1960's. She married Keith White, of McIntosh, MN, in 1969, and joined him in Germany where he was stationed. After living in Germany for a while, they made their way back to the States and eventually to Coon Rapids, MN, where they bought a home and raised their family. After a 20- year marriage with Keith, they divorced. She met Melvin Wayrynen while working at Ault in Brooklyn Park, MN, and after a long courtship, they married in 1998. Arlys and Mel lived in the Brooklyn Park, MN/Crystal, MN area for years until their employer moved overseas. At that time, they relocated to Nashwauk, MN, which is Melvin's hometown. In 2011, Melvin passed away with Arlys by his side. She was a devoted wife and caregiver. A few years later she met special friend and companion, Mark "Bud" Mehle of Goodland, MN, whom misses her very much. Arlys loved spending time with her children, grand-children and great-grandchildren and was their biggest fan. She enjoyed going to their school programs and sporting events and always had a camera ready like they were celebrities and she was the Paparazzi. Family was always very important to her and she loved to spoil them with yummy homemade goodies. Arlys also enjoyed photography, fishing, traveling, sight-seeing, crocheting and was very talented with a sewing machine. Arlys passed away suddenly at her residence in Nashwauk on June 2nd, 2016, at the age of 67. She had a heart of gold and will be missed dearly.
