Ardis Dahl, age 80, of Fosston, MN, passed away on Thursday, June 7th, at her daughter's home in Bemidji, MN under care of hospice. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 14th, at Kingo Lutheran Church in Fosston with the Rev. Aage Carlsen officiating. Interment will be in Ringsaker Cemetery, Pelican Rapids, MN at a later date. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Dahl was born on January 24, 1938 in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota to parents John and Freda Mickelson Dahl. She grew up in Pelican Rapids and graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 1950. Following high school, Ardi attended college in Breckenridge, Minnesota and then the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis where she studied Laboratory Technology. When she graduated, she moved to Fosston and began her career in the lab at the Fosston Municipal Hospital.She was united in marriage to John "Jack" Dahl on April 23, 1960 at the Congregational Church in Duluth, Minnesota. After their marriage, they lived and raised their family in Fosston. Ardi worked for Dr. Cotton in McIntosh and Fosston, the Sather Clinic in Fosston, and the clinic in Clearbrook, Minnesota until her retirement. Jack and Ardi spent many winters at Paradise Park in Pharr, Texas where they made many good friends. She was a member of Kingo Lutheran Church and the Tangen-Walstrom American Legion Auxiliary in Fosston. Through the years, she enjoyed bowling, camping, gardening, reading and crafts. She especially known for her beautiful flowers. Most of all, she enjoyed time that she spent with her family. She is survived by her two daughters, Leslie (Gary) Thompson of Mayville, ND, and Laura (Tim) Cormican of Bemidji, MN; grandchildren, Kelly (Shawn), Beka (Kenneth), Amy (Pat), Mark (Amber), and Holly; great grandchildren, Andrea (Craig), Marlene (Jason), Peyton, Gradie, and "Little" Jack (named after grandpa Jack); two great great grandchildren, Natalie and Jordynn; and her dog, Pepper. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, on May 6, 2015; her parents; and one brother, Jack.
