Annette Klade

Annette Klade, age 66, of Fargo, ND, passed away on Saturday, November 16th, at her home in Fargo under care of hospice. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7th, at the Carlin Funeral Home in Fosston with the Rev. John Ragan officiating. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Annette Lavone Conrad was born on July 26, 1958, in Colorado Springs, Colorado to parents Hurchel and Naomi (Bennett) Conrad. She grew up in Colorado Springs and graduated from Whitefield High School in Security, Colorado. After high school she lived for a short time in California before returning to Colorado.

Annette was united in marriage to Robert Klade on December 19, 1987, in Denver, Colorado. To this union, three children were born, Destiny, Brandon, and Dylan. They started their family and owned and operated High Country Recreation. In 1994, they sold the business and moved to Thief River Falls, Minnesota. 

Annette worked at the Seven Clans Casino in Thief River Falls and at Canad Inn in Grand Forks, North Dakota as housekeeping manager. Then she went to work as a store manager at McDonald’s in Thief River Falls. After that she and Robert moved to McIntosh for a short period of time before moving to Fargo, North Dakota to be closer to doctors. Bob passed away on February 29, 2024. 

Annette enjoyed crafting, cooking, baking (especially desserts), and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her children, Tara Klade (Eric) of South St. Paul, MN, Destiny Klade (Jesse) of Climax, MN, Brandon (Kristin) Klade of McIntosh, MN, and Dylan Klade of Climax, MN; grandchildren, Trina (Jacob) Armstrong, Sterling Klade, Mercedes Klade, and Willow Klade; and two great grandchildren, Koda and Everly Armstrong; one brother, Randy (Debbie) Conrad of Lubbock, TX; brother-in-law, Francis (Kathy) Weitzel of Raytown, MO; and sister-in-law, Kim Schwartz of Merrill, WI. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hurchel and Naomi Conrad; her sister, Robin Busch; and her husband, Robert Klade.
