Anna Marie attended grades 1st thru 3rd in Trail school then transferred to Gully Grade School for 4th thru 8th Grade. While in Gully grade school, her good friend Shirley teased her about an old bachelor named Pete and this nick name stuck to her and she embraced it. She was always known as Auntie Pete to her nieces and nephews.

She graduated from Fosston High School in 1961. Anna Marie graduated from nursing school at Northwestern Hospital in Thief River Falls in 1963 and did her clinicals at St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes. In 1972 she moved back to Seattle, Washington and worked at Stevens Memorial in Edmonds until retirement. Anna Marie was going to move back to Minnesota, but her nurse friends at Stevens didn’t want her to leave so they introduced her to her soul mate, Lloyd, a Lynnwood Police Officer. They were married December 3rd, 1974, and to that union was born one son Eric.

In 2020 she moved to Lewiston with her son Eric and his family to be near her grandson Jason. Anna Marie loved to watch sports of all kinds and especially enjoyed college football and the Seattle Seahawks.
