Amy Flotow

Amy Wiemer Flotow, age 52, of Clearwater, FL, passed away on Friday (January 16th) in Clearwater. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (February 7th) at the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston. Interment will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Lengby, MN in the spring. Friends may call for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston and messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association.Amy Lou Wiemer was born on August 30, 1956 in Mahnomen, Minnesota to parents Leonard and Georgia (Roy) Wiemer. She grew up in Lengby, Minnesota and graduated from Fosston High School in 1973. Amy was married to Jeff Robb in September of 1973. After their marriage they lived in Lengby, Minneapolis, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota and Fargo, North Dakota. Amy attended college in Minneapolis and she continued her education at Moorhead State University in Moorhead, Minnesota. While attending Moorhead State, Amy worked at St. Luke's Hospital in Fargo.She was united in marriage to Thomas Reierson in 1984. Together they made their home in Fargo and Amy worked at St. Luke's Hospital as a dietician, as a community health educator at Dakota Hospital in Fargo, and for the American Heart Association. They relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina in 1993 and in 1995 they moved to Lynchburg, Virginia. Tom passed away in January of 2000. After Tom's death, Amy lived in Lynchburg and then Newport News, Virginia before settling in Clearwater, Florida.Amy was married to David Flotow on November 30, 2002. They were residents of Clearwater at the time of her passing.Amy enjoyed times with her friends and weekends at the lake and was an active volunteer everywhere that she lived, especially in hospitals. Her best memories came from the times that she spent with her grandchildren.She is survived by her husband, David Flotow of Clearwater, FL; one daughter, Heather Robb Novak and her husband Bob of Paradise Valley, AZ; and one son, Aaron Robb and his wife Kelley of Grand Forks, ND; three grandchildren, Charisma, Payton, and Sam; two brothers, Kevin Wiemer of Rice, MN, and David Wiemer and his wife Mary of Bejou, MN; and one sister, Patty Wiemer of Texas.She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Tom.
