Alvina FaldetAlvina Faldet, age 81, of Erskine and formerly from McIntosh, Minnesota passed away on Thursday, May 17th at First Care Hospital in Fosston, Minnesota. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 22nd at 11:00 AM at Trinity Free Lutheran Church, rural McIntosh with Rev. Dale Mellgren officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the McIntosh Community Center, and for one hour before the funeral at the church. Interment will be at the church cemetery, and the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home serving McIntosh is in charge of the arrangements.Alvina Sophie Lorraine Johnson was born on October 13, 1925 in rural Clearbrook, Minnesota to parents Henry and Marie (Vinge) Johnson. She grew up on a farm west of Clearbrook, attended country school, and graduated from Clearbrook High School. She attended the Lutheran Bible Institute in Minneapolis.Alvina was united in marriage to Anton Faldet on November 10, 1949 at Samhold Lutheran Church in Gonvick, Minnesota. They farmed in Lessor Township north of McIntosh, Minnesota for many years. She moved to the Country Place in Erskine, Minnesota in December of 2000.Alvina loved her Lord, and family. She enjoyed raising flowers, feeding the birds, and having friends over for coffee, and a "little lunch".On Thursday, May 17, 2007 Alvina Sophie Lorraine Faldet passed away at First Care Hospital in Fosston, Minnesota at the age of 81 years, seven months, and four days.Survivors include three sons, Thomas (Cathy) of Kerrville, TX, David (Diane) of McIntosh, and Steve (Barbara) of McIntosh; one daughter, Susan (Tim) Johnson of Mentor, MN; 14 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Vernon (Kitty) Johnson of Clearbrook, and Robert Johnson of Clearbrook; sister-in-law, Bunny Johnson of Clearbrook; five nieces; and five nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Anton in 2001; and one brother, Juane Johnson.
