Alida Samson

Alida Samson, age 98, of Trail, MN, passed away on Friday (March 12th) at McIntosh Senior Living in McIntosh. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday (March 20th) at the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home in Fosston with Michael Sletto officiating. Family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Arrangements are with the Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home of Fosston and messages of condolence may be sent at carlinhoialmen.com.Alida Irene Higdem was born on July 29, 1911 in Bagley, Minnesota to parents Arne and Ragna (Dunrud) Higdem. Alida was united in marriage to Enock Samson on March 20, 1938. After their marriage, they farmed near Trail, Minnesota and Alida worked at Johnson Nursing Home in Fosston for many years.She was a member of Sand Valley Lutheran Church in Trail where she was active in ladies aid. She enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting (especially for her family), and spending time with her grandchildren.Alida passed away on Friday, March 12, 2010 at McIntosh Senor Living in McIntosh, Minnesota at the age of 98 years.Survivors include three children, Lois (David) Klema of Trail, Ernie (Pam) Samson of Tenstrike, MN, and Larry (Renate) Samson of Gully, MN; five grandchildren, Tracey (Kerry) Hoperstad, Tamara (Chris) Thompson, Verena Samson, Danny Samson, and Kelly (Chelsey) Samson; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Enock, on March 11, 2004; and three brothers, Floyd, Alvin, and Lehard.
