Alice Rustad

Alice Rustad, age 95, of Erskine, MN passed away on Wednesday, July 22nd at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 27th at 10:30 AM at Saron Lutheran Church, rural Erskine with Rev. Alan Arneson officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the funeral at the church, and interment will be at the church cemetery. Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home serving Erskine is in charge of the arrangements.Alice Marrie Olson was born on May 6, 1914 to parents James and Mabel (Hagen) Olson in International Falls, Minnesota. As a young girl she lived in the Greenbush area before moving to the Erskine, Minnesota area.She married Ingeman Amundson and they lived in the Crookston and Erskine areas. Ingeman passed away in 1969.She married Wilmer Rustad and they lived in Oregon before moving back to Erskine. Wilmer passed away in 2000.Alice worked for Arctic Cat and for the Ness Café in Erskine.She was a member of Saron Lutheran Church and she enjoyed traveling with Wilmer.On Wednesday, July 22, 2009 Alice Rustad passed away at Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine at the age of 95 years.Survivors include two sons, Dennis (Mary) Amundson of Circle Pines, MN and Kenny Amundson of McIntosh, MN; five grandsons; eight great grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret Haugen of Crookston.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ingeman Amundson; husband, Wilmer Rustad; and daughter-in-law, Diane Amundson.
