Alex Jeffery Bear was born on October 13, 1996, in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Jeff Bear and Vicki Olson.  Alex grew up in Grand Forks.  He was baptized.  He attended worship and Sunday School at University Lutheran Church in Grand Forks.

Throughout his school years he was active in football.  He loved BMX bike racing he shared with his dad and his sister.  His other hobbies included skateboarding, Xbox games, WWF, comic relief sitcoms and movies.

His best friend was his big sister, Kristen Leigh.  They were two peas in a pod, and they protected each other.   Karen Armstrong of Grand Forks was a longtime friend and companion to Alex.  They shared a lot together including their cats.  “Bella”, his cat was his pride and joy.

Alex loved all his friends, those that knew Alex, knew he was very comical, humorous, and hilariously always knew how to make you laugh.  His passion was to be a stand-up comedian.

Alex was a very loving, caring person.  He was there for you if you needed encouragement, and ear to listen, or a shoulder to lean on.  It is hard to sum up a young man such as Alex in a simple obituary.  Our love for him has not bounds, he left his mark on all who knew him.

Survivors include his parents, Jeff Bear of Grand Forks, ND, Vicki Olson, of Fosston, MN; Grandparents, Gerald and Beverly Bear, Grand Forks, Ruth Reiger, Grand Forks, and Dennis Olson, Fosston, MN;  3 nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, several extended family members, and his friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Kristen Leigh; grandmother, Elouise Olson, grandfather, Rodger Reiger, aunt Kathy Jo Olson, and uncle Denny, Jr.
