Albert Mandt, age 69 of McIntosh, MN passed away on Wednesday, June 10th at McIntosh Senior Living in McIntosh. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 15th at 2:30 PM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh with Rev. Melody Kirkpatrick and Rev. Aage Carlsen officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh, and there will also be reviewal for one hour before the funeral service at the church on Monday afternoon. Interment will be at Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery in McIntosh. The Carlin-Hoialmen Funeral Home serving McIntosh is in charge of the arrangements. Messages of condolence may be sent to carlinhoialmen.com. Albert Donald Mandt, Jr. was born on June 26, 1945 to Albert and Emma (Thoveson) Mandt in Fosston, MN. He was raised in McIntosh, MN, and was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in McIntosh. Albert attended school in McIntosh and graduated from Mac-Winger High School in 1963. He married Ruth Johnson on December 25, 1965. Albert and Ruth made their home in McIntosh after his discharge from the Army. He was engaged in farming until 1997. Along with the farming, he drove school bus for 30 years. He also worked at the McIntosh Coop Creamery and the McIntosh Coop on and off for a few years. In the fall of 1997 he went to work for Minnesota Limited Pipeline until he retired in 2011. Albert served on the King Township Board for 30 years, was currently serving on the Red Lake Watershed Board, served on the McIntosh Coop Board for a number of years, and had served on the Soil and Water Conservation Board. He was also a Trustee for Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Albert passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at McIntosh Senior Living at the age of 69 years, 11 months, and 15 days. He is survived by Ruth, his loving wife of 49 1/2 years; three sons - Kyle (Kimberlee) of McIntosh, MN, Kerry (Kelly) of Maple Grove, MN, and Kevin (Anna) of McIntosh, MN; the loves of his life - his seven grandchildren - Michael, Kylee, Nicholas, Kaysee, Brekken, Colten, and Shelby Mandt. He is also survived by his sister Iris (Lyle) Eisert of Crookston, MN; brothers-in-law Orville Hanson of Thief River Falls, MN and Alvin Taylor of Seattle, WA; sisters-in-law Alta Mandt of Perham, MN, Elaine Mandt of Moorhead, MN, Pearl Johnson of McIntosh, MN, and Shirley Taylor of Seattle, WA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Sherman, Arvin, and Ervin; sister Mavis Koehler; brothers-in-law Marvin Koehler, Russell Johnson, Robert Johnson, and Eilert Hoem; sisters-in-law Laura Johnson, Lila Hoem, and Marilyn Hanson; nephews Todd Eisert and Ray Johnson; and niece Linda Taylor.Blessed be his memory
